Hello for the week and an extra special welcome to the new followers of this blog from Planet Design. It's been an interesting week with an awful lot happening in the world, and in particular the interiors world. Did you hear the one about a large organisation that employed 'consultants' who used "international standards for Interior Design", only to find out that 150 odd people dont fit. No people consultation, no organisational brief, just ramrod the people into space, lets forget all the principals about people being the most important part of your business, lets forget all about finding out how a company actually works, lets forget about every basic rule of providing people with a work environment that people actually WANT to get up in the morning and go to, because it provides stimulis, it provides and exciting and enlivening place to go to. By the way there is no punch line this isn't a joke. Anyway enough rants for this week, but watch this space. Well here's this weeks new images for you all to enjoy, I was sitting in a cafe last week and noticed 2 students looking at this blog, I was blown away actually, nice to see it getting right out there and being enjoyed, spread the word, be inspired!
Bedrooms and bathrooms seem to be a bit of a theme this week.
This restuarant was amazing, imagine trying to get this built here.
We seem to have lost the artisans that could have provided work like this, and if we haven't then it would cost an absolute fortune to do.
Great photography
Sad image
This is just amazing, Christchurch could learn a lot from images such as this
And Auckland could do with some great hi density housing, look what you could do.....
What beautiful work
Another great image taken at just the right time. It's just windmills, but seen from the right angle, and with the right sunset, there you go.
I had to look at this for a while to figure out what it was, it's a 1/4 to 8, pretty neat
This art installation using bicycles was pretty cool
Don't know why I included this but its a great shot, so maybe that's why.
With just a little extra thought, you can transform the ordinary into something extraordinary
I want a wardrobe like this.....it's not a shop it's actually someones wardrobe beautiful
Street art got to love it
Great advice for pretty much everything actually
Museums, and Libraries are special places
And just a little perspective to bring you back
Is it real? It's hard to know what to say about this but the next few images are pretty amazing. You can never tell with the Middle Eastern design, if it's not real now, it more then likely will be in about 3-4 years.
And without doubt, one of the best images I have ever seen, I love this shot and am on a mission to find out where this came from, who took it, and how do I get a large scale Hi definition image of this.
Well that's this weeks images, I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed the last few minutes of your life looking at them and enjoying them.
